Dr. Ashok’s has been treating men since 1997. The majority of our male patients come for removal of excessive hair on the back, chest, abdomen, face, or ears. What areas can be treated to remove hair?

The most commonly treated areas are the face, upper lip, chin, neck, underarms, chest, periareolar, back, abdomen, bikini line, and legs. Many other areas can be treated. Hair of all colors and patients of all skin types have been successfully treated. Our Laser has been used effectively to remove hair on every anatomic area on the skin surface.

Who is a candidate for laser hair removal?

At  Dr. Ashok's we have been using Diode Laser to remove hair from virtually any area of the body. Our patients include actresses, models, professional men and women, physicians, nurses, homemakers, students, and children. We have been removing normal hair, such as fine dark hair on the upper lip, and abnormal hair, such as beard hair on women with hormonal abnormalities.

What color hair can be removed? 

Using our third generation Diode Laser technology we are able to treat hair of any color: red, brown, or black. White and gray hair, which lack pigment, will not respond to treatment.

Are there people who cannot be treated? 

Yes. People with white and gray hair, which lack pigment, cannot be treated.

Are there medical reasons why some people cannot be treated?  

This technology is so gentle that it is exceedingly well tolerated. It is gentle, rapid, and requires no medication, either before or after treatment. Virtually anyone can be treated, except those rare people who are allergic to light.
